A federal judge issued an injunction against USCIS, preventing the agency from implementing fee increases on October 2, as planned. As a result, USCIS's current filing fees will remain in place for the time being.

The Trump Administration's fee increase would have increased the filing fees for the majority of employment-based visas, increased the fees for citizenship applications by more than 80 percent and created a filing fee for asylum applications - making the US one of the few countries worldwide to charge asylum applicants.

Adomat Immigration urges visa and green card applicants to file their applications as soon as possible in order to take advantage of the lower fees. The Trump Administration will likely challenge this injunction quickly.
